  • I have a passion for storytelling. Whether it is with written words, or through audio-visual elements.

    I strive to create an immersive engaging story with an emotional impact that leaves a lasting impression and resonates on a personal level.

  • I love using audio visual storytelling, when I work on a project I do research on what exactly the emotion and mood are that need to be felt by the audience, and what type of sound and imagery evokes that.

    By carefully balancing visual elements with atmospheric audio I strive to create experiences where every detail contributes to the narrative, pulling users deeper into the story.

  • Another interest of mine is creative writing. It allows me to turn my imagination and creativity into worlds that other people can enjoy and experience.

    One of the things I have researched is how you can specifically write for children. This can be seen in my work below.

Some of My Work

Hondje Zoekt Baasje

A children’s book about a dog looking for their owner.

  • For one of my school assignments I tasked myself with learning to write for a specific target audience. My guidance teacher suggested writing for 3 year old children since that was the age of his daughter.

    I decided to pick up this challenge and worked together with one of my close friends Leon Hergink who created all the illustrations.

  • What was really interesting about this book is that I wrote it for a specific target audience.

    Because I was writing for children that are 3 I had to keep a lot in mind. What vocabulary to use, what concepts to introduce, page count etc.

    I did extensive research on not only what type of stories and books 3 year olds enjoy, but also on what they are able to read (have read to them).

    I followed courses, read scientific papers, looked at other books and created a persona and empathy map.

    All this made me draw a couple concusions:
    - Children like animals.
    - Children like characters that resemble them.
    - Repetition is good.
    - It is good to establish a goal.
    - Use simple vocabulary.
    - Create a book that can be engaging.

    I took all this into account which resulted in the story of “Hondje Zoekt Baasje”.

Move On

Move On is a short movie I created for the subject “cinematics”. I wrote the story. And filmed and directed this short movie with some help from my friends (of which you can see a couple in the video).
